the beginning

After much debate, and some humming and hawing, here it is - the brand new blog.

I'm starting this blog on the eve of the end of school. It's been a long, exciting, and revealing year. While I've learned a lot about photography, I've learned even more about myself, the true meaning of hard work, and the importance of positivity.

One of the things that I'm most grateful for is the chance to have met and be taught by great photographers like Alex Waterhouse-Hayward.

I will forever hear his voice in my head demanding subtlety.

I will know it can be done with one light.

I will have nostalgia for the places I once knew.

and I will always wonder what his wife would say about my picture.
